I have been serving people with spiritual direction for a decade, since graduating from the Fordham University Graduate School of Religion’s spiritual direction certification program. I have been personally inspired by three decades of receiving spiritual direction myself in order to deepen spiritual clarity and integrate spirituality into my life as a worker, wife, mother, student and teacher. Presently I am on staff at the Villa Maria del Mar Spirituality Program which trains spiritual directors, and I also serve by offering supervision for spiritual directors.
My approach is eclectic. I consider myself a Christian mystic who has integrated a kundalini awakening, married a Zen Buddhist priest, and together we also enjoy Taoist gardening and reading Lau Tsu. My research work is in how people who experience spiritually transformative experiences integrate the changes into their lives. I find that every person has a spiritual part of them that is expressed in various ways to varying degrees. Tending to this divine connection and assisting in its expansion is my passion.
I give most of my spiritual direction through online video-conferencing, and also have a summer garden office and winter indoor office at Jasmine Garden Oasis Retreat House.
